Observations/Issues when listening to music on Droid via headphones

Hey guys, if there's another posted thread for this please forgive me.

Has anyone else noticed that when you listen to music via headphones on the droid and you switch to another app or turn the screen on/off, the sound is briefly interrupted with a crackle? It's not a major thing, just very annoying. It also seems to happen if I pick up the phone abruptly from a still position.

I've checked another droid and noticed the same thing.

It seems to work fine playing music from the speaker.

I think there is a hardware issue with the 3.5mm jack. I noticed right after I got my Droid that if you plug into a radio to play music it crackles a little. Just enough to be noticeable when the Droid volume is up all the way or near all the way. I tried other cables and other radios because I thought it was a blown speaker or something. Others have reported the same thing. I have never noticed it with headphones though because I have never had the volume up that loud.
