Car phone problem

I've used a vzw car mount integrated with the car stereo for months with zero problems until recently.

Now when I place/receive a call, the other party can't hear me unless I engage the speaker phone function. When I do that, the audio feed goes through the phone speaker instead of the car's.

Any suggestions? The phone is over a year old, so no warranty.

How is the phone integrated with the car stereo?

Through a cable between the headphone jack on the phone and the auxiliary input on the stereo.

Does music (or other functions) still work?

Yeah, everything else is working properly. I suspect this is a software issue; it may have coincided with that recent OTA update

Does it work while not in the car dock?

The stereo and phone are fine individually and for listening to music/Pandora when connected.

It's only when trying to make/receive calls through the stereo that there's a problem. I can hear the other party perfectly, but they can't hear me. When I switch to speakerphone, they can but I lose stereo audio as it's rerouted through the speakerphone.
