Missing Email Icon

My email icon disappeared and i dont know how to get it back. Any ideas?

If you go to settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Menu>Filter>All.
Does it show up? Its in alphabetical order.

Open the app tray, hold down on the e-mail icon, drop it back on the desktop...

If it's missing from there, do you have the phone rooted? Did you disable it by mistake?

@mjones sorry didn't see the second oart of ur post. Wasn't tryint to be rude though either. But yea its rooted. I don't remember deleting it but its possible

You probably accidentaly removed it using the terminal.

factory reset or get Exchange Touchdown it's 10000% better

Do not factory reset if you are running a custom rom.

If that is the case you can factory reset. You will not loose root or SU.

i did factory reset it and it didnt come back. i just lost all my data though

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is the correct way to do it.

su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
cd /system/app
mv Email.bak Email.apk
mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
sync
reboot your phone

Looks right, would be dependent on Email.bak being there vs the OP deleting it completely.

If it's completely gone he may need someone to provide him a copy to put back.
