I'm pretty new to all this, but I'm learning and holding my own pretty well so far. I finally settled on CyanogenMod 7 after flashing several ROMs (and sbfing my phone about 20 times), and am looking to perfect it, especially with speed and battery life.
I keep looking around for information on CPU governors that I can add for CM7, specifically the Smart@$$ governor (as the internets seem to concede that it's a good one), but everywhere that I look, I either can't make heads or tails of what is being said, it's way too advanced for what I want/am prepared to deal with, there are 30 pages to sift through, and/or the thread dies before we reach the punchline.
So, I was just hoping somebody could give me some help on this sort of thing, including which kernels (y/n?) to download and use, how *exactly* to install them, and how to use them property to optimize my phone using over/underclocking, etc.
