Hey guys,

Just wanted to get the word out there that I wiped my phone after root and had a bit of a scare. Once I finished the wipe I had a blank screen with just the notifier bar. Here is how I fixed this.

1. Hold down search to bring up the voice search.
2. Say google and bring up the browser
3. Navigate here bit.ly statistics for (dof96G) to install launcher pro
4. Once launcherpro downloads tap it and click to install it.
5. Continue with setup

It should be noted that I was running launcher pro and had deleted some of the default apps before I did the restore (vzw bloatware). Not sure what caused this but that will fix it.
Also interesting is that there is a new launcher set in Home Switcher.
I now have two pertaining to blur
com.motorola.blur.home
com.motorola.blur.setup

It seems that it goes to setup and just gets stuck. This would fix if you also installed home switcher.

Edit:
This was caused by deleting backup assistant. I restored backup assistant and all is well.

Oh man...I'm gonna let all you daredevils out there fool around with this root, etc!!!! I don't need root...happy with what I've got: a smooth-running, error-free device with no glitches.
Now, if I had TWO X's, might be a different story! lol
