How do you set up slide to unlock in froyo?

I can't seem to figure out to set up the basic slide to unlock screen. I currently have no lock screen on my dx. When I went into the security menu, I only see option for pattern, pin, or password locks or none at all. Can't your just have a basic"slide to unlock" without the extra security?

There is no option for it. Its just always slide to unlock unless you select a differnet style lock (pin/pattern/password)

I don't even have a slide to lock on my froyo dx. There is no lock screen. Do I have an oddball build? Could it be because I wasn't using the sceen lock prior to installing the 2.2 leak?

I had the same problem and a factory reset fixed it

I had my lock screen disabled on 2.1 before I ran the update.zip file to 2.2 and I have a lock screen on froyo so its not because of the 2.1 setting.

As far as I can tell there is no option period for the slide to unlock. Its just always on for me. I don't mess with the other stuff, but I might... pattern lock always intrigued me. What happens if I forget my pattern? lol
