Disclaimer, I really have almost no clue what i'm doing...

Got a DX, Got Rom Manager Premium, Got ClockworkMod Recovery, Got root

I can't get any custom rom installed. I can't even get it to boot into recovery to run a backup of my stock rom.

Any ideas? Did I root wrong?

Is it just not possible yet to use Rom Manager and ClockworkMod on the DX yet?

I get custom roms to work fine on a Droid Eris.

Awesome! Running the rubix rom focused 1.0.
Its almost a 100% pure stock android w/o any blur.
Fast and doesn't have all the BS verizon installs.
Thanks for the help!

another question.
i had tether enabled through verizon so i was able to use the wireless hotspot when i was running stock. work paid for it so i didn't mind using it.
looks like rubix has removed tethering though. which is fine, that's the point of this rom.
any suggestions on good wifi tethering apps?
been trying this one.

Download Wireless Tether from the Market. It's free and works great. You should cancel the Verizon tether. Even if your company is footing the bill, no since in wasting the money.
