2.3.340 root problem

Hi,

I updated to 2.3.340 ota without removing root and now I can't get it back.

at the time of upgrade I was running superuser V2.

I have installed z4root and ran it. after it completes I end up 2 superuser apps

1 is listed as Superuser(I think this is v2) 27.04K and number 2 192.92K is listed as SuperUser.

I think the 2 superusers is my problem but since I can't get root I can't remove the older superuser.

You could by flashing the 2.2 sbf and starting over

is it safe to flash the 2.3.15 sbf over 2.3.240?

I have never done it myself but I have seen guides for downgrading.

you mean 2.3.340..........thats scary dude (DIFFERENT BOOTLOADERS), there is a full 2.3.320 sbf out there, you might want to go that route.

I dont think it would work since went to the different bootloader ,I think it would error

solved,
I was able to remove the bad superuser.apk using the following guide. after that z4root worked just fine.

and in-case some else follows this I found that it only worked after a fresh reboot. I also had usb debugging on at the time, not sure if that makes any difference.
