so am i rooted??

ok so i used z4 root and i rooted it and it says it worked and i can use droid overclock and setcpu work fine. i also have my super user icon but when i go in terminal i did su and the # came up and i put /data and permission denied. so how do i really know.

also i cant install roms. i am using rom manager and i dl a rom and it restarts but it restarts like a normal restart it doesn't install when it restarts?

For rom install you need bootstrapper.

Bootstrapper is needed on the x to hijack the boot up. Once installed you can get into recovery. Rom manager is to help manage roms and backups. You can flash roms in recovery or rom manager but will need bootstrapper to do anything.
