Question about the Micro USB port

Hey all,

If i were to purchase a regular usb to micro usb converter, could that allow me to use regular usb flash drives to drag and drop files? I am considering purchasing a Micro USB On-The-Go Host OTG Adapter, but i want to make sure it works on the xoom first.

You have to have an OTG cable for it to work. Just having the mini-to-micro converter will not work. Tons of threads about this...even links to ebay sites to purchase your cable...You should try the search function next time...

With a OTG am I able to access files on a external hard drive on my xoom??? My understanding was I would have to root my xoom to be able to do that?
