Ability to write to SD Card finally here!! (non-root)

A member of another forum has written a file manager app that allows writing to your SD Card (external1) without rooting or plugging in your USB cable. The developer (gmanapps) has acknowledged that this is just the initial release and still has more refinements coming but he has managed to do something that Google and Motorola have yet to do for us non-rooted US Xoom owners. I am sure that as long as we buy his app (and not pirate it) he will be rewarded. He says he writes primarily iOS because of that reason.

The thing to do is make the SD card available to Apps and have read/write to it to the whole OS not just a file manager, But its a start.

It's up to each app developer to build that functionality in.

You can still pirate iOS apps. Have you heard of SiNfuL iPhone.

What I mean is, with his talent you would think a company would want to snatch him up. Maybe he doesn't want that, who knows, I'm glad he makes these apps.
