Is there a way to read/write onto USB memory on the Xoom? I'm running stock Xoom 4G v3.2.2.

I'm testing my USB OTG adapter. I tried plugging in a multi-card reader and then a single card reader to read SD card memory via USB. I couldn't get this to work. The power LED on the card readers never lit up. I'm sure there should be enough power for at least card readers. Any special steps or settings to make this happen on a stock Xoom?

My plan is to move pictures from my memory cards to the Xoom. In case I vacation and fill my memory card.

At this time, not without rooting your device.

Asides from rooting do I need a custom kernel to read/write USB memory? Or can I just use the Tiamat Universal Xoom Root?

Can this now be done after the ICS update?

Mine worked after JB update...no one elses did? I'm 95 percent sure it worked before rooting it after I got JB.
