Hey all. Some of you are going to want to clear off your rooted Xoom to help Motorola out with the next pre-soak (this is for the 9/2012 soak)

Being capable of using ADB is likely how you got your tablet into the elite form that it is today. But you may find putting stock Honeycomb back on and relocking the bootloader isn't going to get you updated up through the 4.1.1; that's the current build for the stock Xoom.

Here's some steps I 'perfected' over two miserable days.

getting OTA past Honeycomb 3.0.1 (wifi only version back to stock) - Motorola Xoom - RootzWiki

This worked for me in about 30 minutes time, after a more than a few attempts and roadblocks. I did experience the SOS boot error's as well as the LNX boot error's that you may be seeing before I narrowed it down the most minimal steps.

NO HACKS - NO ROOT - NO CUSTOM BOOTLOADERS

You will need a way to hook up a usb stick, and be able to execute some Android Device Bridge commands. God speed.
