I am not a fan of sending it in but it is a real classy move for Verizon to make this official BEFORE people buy!

Good move Verizon!!!!

I think this explains why this thing costs $70 more than the soon-to-be-equivalent iPhad 2 (presumably $730). It's to cover Motorola's shipping/handling costs to upgrade the 4G.

Sure would be nice if we could have it for 730 now and then pay the 70 later IF WE WANT THE UPGRADE.

I hope they enjoy earning interest on the money.

While that would be a good option, but I think there is something of value for them "saying" the upgrade to 4G is free though
