Are there any apps that might allow me to view movies and tv shows I downloaded fromm either itunes or microsoft zune?

Don't think so, you could just transfer them to your Xoom after you convert them to proper format (I believe MPEG-4) without the iTunes DRM on it.

Do you know if it plays movies you bought from iTunes? I'm pretty sure those have DRM encryption on it.

You need to purchase a program that removes the DRM's. I use a program called Noteburner, but you do have to pay for it. It work's great.

I just bought note burner and am in the process of converting all my itunes movies. takes about 8 hours or more for each movie length dependent. But it looks and works great! I would highly recommend it.
