Have worked with PCs for many years, but have never even touched an Android unit until a week ago. Bought a Nook Color 1.2 with every intention of rooting it right from the git-go. Have gotten it fully functional using Cyanogenmod7 but in the process lost access to the B&N store. Decided to go back to the stock 1.2 and try again, but in the process of doing that can't yet get it to boot all the way (hangs up on Nook Color screen, then loops back and repeats the process all over again).
Android Central Forums has tons of info and I'm sure that I'll find a way out in short order. If not, lots of folks seem very willing and able to help.
Great learning experience by the way.
