Greetings, campers!

New to the Android platform.
Just migrated from a BBerry.

Using an LG myTouch via T-mobile.
Seems to be a respectable enough platform.
Had to download Bookmarks Manager to remove the 'locked' T-Mo browser bookmarks
(a nasty practice), but that's it as regards personalization.

Would welcome links to basic setup -- REALLY basic.
For example, I'd love to know
i) how I can put the time on the Home screen
ii) how to place app shortcuts on the main screen (if possible)
iii) how to place browser bookmarks on Home screen (if possible)
iv) a link where I can read up on this 'root' thing (assuming my device supports it),
so that when I have the time & inclination, I can get my geek on.
