Introduction

Good morning. I'm a 67 yr. old New Yorker, retired from the Law Enforcement field. Interests are jazz guitar (I have been a student/player since early 60's), photography, human and animal rights, bicycling and all genres of music.. Bought my first smartphone, an Lg Optimus V, couple of weeks ago and am just really getting to learn it. The battery life issue caused me to stumble on this forum; and, from what I've encountered so far, it's simply awesome. Seems my phone, even when it's not used, only lasts about 12-15 hrs. before it needs a charge. I am reviewing your suggestions, including rooting and will check back here often. Thank you for this resource. Am a firm believer in the premise that power and the impetus for positive and meaningful change derives from the people.
