So I recently picked up a Blu Studio 5.0 LTE about two weeks ago. I was (still am) a 1020 owner but with 8.1, my phone has serious lag and battery drain issues. I wanted something that was priced reasonable that would hold me over until my upgrade, or even later.
Pros:
- the phone is so thin and feels great in the hand
- for almost $230, this phone came with a case and headphones as well like all blu phones do
- android is not the same beast that I remembered from even two years ago. This is a consistent experience that I've always wanted from android (on 4.3)
- the FFC takes a lot better pictures than the one on my 1020. I know that's odd to talk about camera comparisons with the 1020 but I rarely use the rear camera.
- battery is AWESOME. I could do the same things on this phone that I would do on my 1020 with battery saver mode on and still have more juice left after work is over. I have yet to leave work and have anything less than 30% and that's on my heavy day which isn't much at all but the screen will be on a lot.
Con's
- the 4 gigs of memory is slightly annoying but moving apps to my SD card is working for now
- the vibration seems to be very soft.
Overall, I'm a very happy to be returning back to the platform and having a great experience. My last experience (LG optimus g) wasn't awful at all but this is just overall better.
