Time to get my hands dirty!

I recently got myself a long awaited Droid X! I owned BB for a while and was never completely satisfied with the experience. I have been drooling over the Android phones. Now i have had it for a few weeks and want to start hacking it! I am going to start with trying the GB version. Should i wait for the rooted version? I have not rooted yet. I am reluctant to wipe my phone. Thanks.

Welcome to AC! I would hold off on loading GB for your first foray into android custom unless you are 100% comfortable with flashing an sbf.
