    Welcome.

A thread comes into being when the OP - original poster - asks a question or raises a topic, and others respond. This Intro, for example, is a thread, and you are the originator of it.

You can Follow or Subscribe to a thread by tapping the icon - in my case on an iPhone right now using Tapatalk, it’s at top right - to receive notification of further replies within the thread.

You’ll soon become familiar with it all.

I have a LGL52VL Android phone that I cannot seem to put very many apps on it. I just have 5 that I would like to keep. Facebook, Messenger, Dunkin, Bejeweled Blitz and my bank. I cannot download updates because I do not have enough free space. I do not have many photos as I don't like to take pictures with my phone. How can I get more space?

So far as I can see, that is a phone with 8gb of storage, of which the Android OS and pre-installed apps would claim a sizeable chunk. Even if it were upgradable to Marshmallow, you would probably not be able to use an SD card as adoptable storage....I cannot on my LG G3, for example. Your best bet is to maximise your free storage as best you can using simpler methods. See this guide: https://forums.androidcentral.com/sh...d.php?t=315804

I agree with @belodion. Unfortunately, you can't do much with an 8 GB phone these days, unless you're only going to use it for phone calls, texting, and browsing. The bare minimum storage you should consider is 16 GB, but preferably 32 GB if you want to install a decent number of apps.

Hello and welcome to the forums at Android Central!

Unfortunately phones with less then 32GB don't have enough space for all the apps and stuff we like to use.
