Syncing Samsung Galaxy S 4g with 2011 Ford Fusion

I bought a Ford Fusion 2011 a few weeks ago. At the time of purchase, I had a Blackberry and the phone synced with no problems. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S 4G and it won't Sync. I have researched and called TMobile and read everything I can on the Ford Sync website. I noticed that with other phones listed on the Ford Sync site, a firmware was mentioned. In my phone settings, I notice "no firmware". Is this my sync problem? Something else? Help please. :'(
