There are power users out there who will snap this up. I'm not one, mind you, as my phone habits and settings have the N4 lasting me 2-3 days between charge... But I'm considering this item.

4500 (case) + 2100 (native) = a whopping 6600 (total) mAH. Killer for a long road trip with Navigation running and other heavy uses, camping trips away from electric, etc...

It smells like freedom from worry about battery capacity. ;)

Forgive my ignorance but does this in fact give 6600 MaH in total?

The spec sheet on their page says 4500 capacity. The comparison graph, I think, is a holdover from battery vs battery comparison (OEM vs extended Mugen). I certainly took it to mean an added 4500 mAH.

It's a battery case. The N4 is sealed. No extended battery with a larger battery door is possible...

The comparison graph is throwing people off. Most of Mugen's phone product is replacement batteries. They mixed up the graph format. It isn't 2100 vs 4500. It is 2100 + 4500.

also the fact there is no picture of a case on their website. IT is just a picture of the N4 which lead me to believe it was just a replacement battery.

Maybe triple thickness???

Mugen's press release confirms that 4500 mAH is inside the case and adds to the 2100 on board the N4. 3X Battery Life for Nexus 4 From Mugen Power - WSAV: News, Weather, and Sports for Savannah, GA

Really it is a storage battery that recharges the phone, conveniently built into a case for ease of travel and no searching for cables. Charge the phone, charge the case. Insert phone in case and go... When the phone battery runs low, hit the recharge button on the back of the case and it recharges the N4 at least twice before the case itself needs a recharge.

Had this been available around 6mos ago I probably would have gotten it.
But spending 90$ on a battery that not only completely kills the "sexiness" of the N4 but I'll use for only another 4 or 5 months (until the N5 is out), no thanks.

I'll stick with my 25$ solution that gives me a single full charge.
Sure it's only 1 additional charge, but it doesn't have that huge hump on the back, only cost me 25$, fits in my pocket & can be used to charge any of my devices.

The included batteries suck but using a few 2,500mAh rechargeables gets the job done well & pretty quickly.
