how to get back to stock with root?

How do I get back to stock 4.4, but still have root? I'm running a 4.2.1 xylon Rom but I want to go to stock 4.4 and still have root so I can keep certain apps. I use twrp so can someone tell me how to go back to stock 4.4? Links and downloads would be helpful too. Thanks for all of the help. I haven't done anything to my phone in months, so I'm a little rusty!

You can flash the factory image and reroot or flash an already rooted rom in recovery, like this one:

I have a nexus , someone has rooted it for me and installed cyanogen mod, i like to go back to stock android 4.3 so that I can upgrade to stock android 4.4 help... I dont know what im doing myself..

Wait for CM to update to 4 4 you'll lose a lot of stuff compared to CM if you update to 4.4
