I have no issues with the battery at that size (if this is true). The S6 has a smaller battery at 2500 and is a 2015 flagship. Granted it's battery life sucks but it's pushing a quad HD screen. This nexus with a 1080p screen, Marshmallow (with doze), very little crapware apps, and no touchwiz should blow away the S6 battery life.

I expect a device like this to easily get 4-5 hours SoT.

If that spec about the battery is true, it's on par with the M8. I thought that battery was fine for most people's needs.

    Solid specs imo.

Sure, would have liked a larger battery, but if the screen being 1080p is true, then that's actually a little sigh of relief. the battery should be better than the S6 considering the S6 has a smaller batter on a higher-res screen. So if I get better battery than my current S6, then I'm happy.

Happy with the Snapdragon 808. Had no real issues when I used the LG G4. Very capable chipset. Here's hoping the camera is great.

On the list of slightly more mundane aspects we have storage - the phone will come in 16 and 32GB models only.
The internal storage is the only spec I'm bummed out about. I thought for sure we were going to get a 64 GB option given the gradual increase in storage from year after year.

    Nexus 4: 8GB, 16GB
    Nexus 5: 16GB, 32GB
    Nexus 6: 32GB, 64GB

    New Nexus 5: 16GB, 32GB
    New Nexus 6: 32GB, 64GB

"Speaking of power, the LG-made Nexus will indeed have a type C USB port, but we don't know if it's just a reworked USB2.0 configuration or an actual USB3 device."

What? So it could just be a reworked USB2 and not the new USB3?!

Look at the OnePlus 2. "USB C", but it's just the new cable/connector and no upgrade in speed/quickcharge.

So there is a chance this isn't going to be the new fast charging connector. I hope that's not true.

Thing with me is the charging. I think it's messed up in the port where my micro USB goes into for it to charge. Have to force the cord to stay and any other cords simply just don't connect anymore. I'm stuck with that. If I didn't have this problem, I would be easily staying with my Nexus 5 for now. I wonder if I can get this fixed.?!

It does have front stereo speakers, OIS, laser autofocus, fingerprint reader, USB Type-C, and wireless charging.

Those are all the innovations of the old and new. What else more did it need?

    Nexus 5 (2013)
    Snapdragon 800, 2gb RAM, 2300mAh Battery.

    Nexus 5 (2015)
    Snapdragon 808, 3gb RAM, 2700mAh Battery.

Let's just say that's what it is for the new LG Nexus. Is that really a HUGE upgrade from my current Nexus 5? Point I made before awhile back is price and battery. I pray it's not like $500+ and was definitely hoping for a much bigger battery. I don't want to feel like I have to wait another year or pick up something else (which I don't want anything that isn't pure Google nexus)

I really want the snapdragon 820 but I guess I can just upgrade my current Nexus 5(2013) to Nexus 5(2015) and then get one in 2016 lol.

32gb is not acceptable in 2015 to be the largest capacity available. I hope the rumors are false, because otherwise I can't even consider it. I struggle to keep my 32gb Moto x from being full, and I'm not going through this again.

    64GB internal storage
    4GB RAM

You must not know about all the overheating issues with this chip. 810 is a curse.

    I do...

I also know it's been fixed with an update. It still remains a superior chip to the 808

Even if it is throttled down a bit to prevent overheating, the better GPU is more than enough incentive for me.

Yep, and everything is throttled. Your phone, PC, car, lightbulbs... all to ensure that they don't burn out too quickly.

if true it's extremely disappointing. just to even be mentioned in the same sentence as the S6 as far as battery life makes it a pass. it's the same story over and over. we hear how efficient everything is and that the new OS means much better battery life. save it Google. I've held out long enough and I have 0 problem continuing to save a few bucks and just stick with what I have. I absolutely refuse to give in to these small batteries and won't buy a phone with less than 3000mAh. and if this is true, I highly doubt the Hauwei version will be significantly better. oh well.

Pretty sure the Huawei will have 3300. Anything higher is hopeful but not realistic. Still hoping...

yeah that would be kinda shocking, especially without an SD .. 64 is my minimum if there's no SD ... hopefully these latest rumors aren't true, but if they are it's extremely disappointing.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd actually prefer the OP2 over it.

yeah I think your right ... I'm almost done hoping to be honest. 2015 has been exhausting, seeing great phones ruined with small batteries, bad processors, and head scratching decisions, like the Pure using a smaller battery than the Play, OP2 not including NFC, the M9 not changing a thing, or the S6 and that comical battery. it's just been a bad year, and I'm done getting my hopes up. I'll just use what I have and saving money is never a bad thing, but I'm definitely not buying a 2700 mAh 32 GB phone with no SD. I'd rather get the turbo 2 quite honestly, and deal with the minimal bloat and carrier branding. battery life is that important to me.
