Does anyone have a 5x and 5 to show a comparison photo/video of the two side by side for brightness and color? I have a 5 and am upgrading to a 5x or 6p (have both on order). I have been reading early hands-on reports online this morning, and one of the main advantages I thought the 6p would have, longer battery life, doesn't seem to be there from initial reports. The other big advantage for me was going to be the bright super amoled display versus the 5x display, but some initial reports on the 5x state it is nice and bright and viewable in direct sunlight when you crank up the brightness. The washing out of the screen on the 5 in direct sunlight was my biggest beef.

So, does anyone have their own photos/video they can post for comparison, or provide a link?

BTW, here is the most thorough early hands-on video I have seen so far of the 5x:
Nexus 5X unboxing and impressions after first 48 hours

Also, here is a recent video showing the 6p and 5x size-wise compared to a bunch of different phones, including the 5. This is making me cringe on the huge size of the 6p, not sure it will work for me.

And here is a video where they are comparing the 5x to 6p, and they state the 5x is more readable in sunlight. Really?? If that is the case, then it is a done deal and I will definitely go 5x.

I've never owned a Nexus device before and was super excited to get the 5X because I like smaller phones and vanilla Android. I have had Android since day one when the G1 was released and have loved it ever since. But watching these reviews about the new Nexus 5X, and reading things over the last few days, my excitement it's getting very deflated.

Honestly I just think people had greater expectations then what Google delivered, but Google delivered what they believed to be what they wanted and the industry needed. Sure they could have packed their phones with a greater punch, but maybe they have a grander plan down the road that we don't see it. Everyone keeps comparing them to all these other phones and in my opinion why don't they just get the phone that they want. Maybe price is a factor, but if you can't afford it then you can have it. That's the bottom line. Sure I would have loved to see 3 gigabytes of RAM in the Nexus 5X and a little bit bigger battery, 64 gigabyte memory, but overall I think we'll be fine.

I think Google just wants to give everyone one to two years with these phones and next year they're going to come out with something spectacular. They're feeling the market out again because of last year's flop of the Nexus 6. It's not so much a flop as a disappointment to people who like smaller phones. This year they delivered up on that and have the larger version for those who like it that way. With smartphones, size definitely matters.

All in all, unfortunately it seems like we can't have our cake and eat it too when we really want that experience. I'm not sure why Google doesn't do more surveys or poll the people who matter and deliver on that.

Maybe right now these things are just more expensive to make and they cant. Maybe their hands are tied. I'm not sure, but when my Nexus 5X arrives this or next week, I'm going to play around with it as much as I can and hopefully not return it, but if I do then I'm probably going to get the Sony Xperia Z5 compact. I'm coming from Z3 compact and love the phone except for my headphone jack broke and no one will fix it. So that kind of defeats listening to music or watching movies with headphones. I like to go on runs and listen to podcasts and I can't do that with the phone. So I was going to make the Sony Xperia Z3C my backup phone to the Nexus 5X if that is to my liking when it arrives.
