I've tried ClockworkMod and PdaNet, but neither works or is too complicated to set up (for Windows 10/ PC - and Verizon is my carrier). The issue seems to be finding the proper driver for the PC so the app will work. Is there an app (non-root) out there that installs easily and is compatible with the 5X? (And I am not a techie. Install needs to be straight forward.)

Example: I installed PdaNET. It will work for a few seconds, then I get kicked off. I get a Code 1 error and tried the troubleshooting steps - didn't work. I also get message on PC that USB can't be recognized.

    Suggestions? Thanks.

Why not just use the (built-in) personal hotspot function. That worked wonderfully for me during the week in my new home waiting for Internet access.

Because my carrier charges for it. That's why I need a 3rd party app.
