Hi,
I am developing an app where I need to run an Android device in Host mode, but it has to be USB3.0 speed. I tried the Samsung Galaxy S5 but unfortunately it falls back to USB2.0 if connected in host mode.
Has anyone measured the USB host speed of the Nexus 5x?
I was not able to find anything in the specs, but gsmarena says it is a "v2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector" and lists other devices (as the HTC 10) with "v3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector". Does anybody know what the version number (v2.0 vs v3.1) means? USB-C was only introduced in the USB3.1 specification, so it cannot be the USB version.
I was not able to find a lot of devices where GSM Arena states v3.1, the only other android phone was the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro.
If anyone knows something about the USB-speeds, please let me know!
