    Not yet, but as soon as custom roms based on O start flying, then those will be able to be installed. There won't be an official version for the 6.

    Yeah, with Nexus 6 no longer on the Android Beta program that news story isn't believable.

    I'll add that my Nexus 7 2012 continued to receive Android updates OTA and the latest several versions were non-functional on that hardware. I had to flash a much older version of Android onto it and reject OTA updates in order for it to work. Back in the day, Windows was similar... you wouldn't want to install the newest Windows on an older PC because the hardware couldn't handle it.

    Not sure if this applies to the Nexus 6 and progressively newer versions of Android or not.
