Can't increase brightness in MX Player

I can't increase the brightness in mx Player ..i can't understand the problem behind it . I just
Uninstalled & installed the Player . But it doesn't solve the problem . Then i tired to change the display settings . But no change .

Anybody faces the similar issue ?

I'M using the version 1.7.40 . I think it is the latest version . Is there any bug on the new version ?

I'm using Nexus 6P . I don't have any issue initially ..Then i updated then i started to face issue

Open MX Player, tap Menu>Settings>Player>Controls, and make sure Brightness is checked on.

Also, did you mean to post in the Nexus 6P Rooting forum? Is your phone rooted?

Hey this had been baffling me too!
I simply opened “MX Player” selected “App info” using the “recent apps” finger gesture on the “Navigation bar” by tap and holding on “MX Player” app icon, then tap “Battery”, ensure it is “Not optimised” where it says “Optimise battery usage”.
MOST IMPORTANTLY
ensure you turn off “Adaptive brightness” in your device settings then restart your device.
