Google Music app vs. RocketPlayer - for onboard storage

Have never been a big fan of Google Play Music, but thought I'd give it a try, since deciding to go with the stock feel. Used iSynchr to get all my music and playlists on the 6P, and they transferred flawlessly.

However, I have one playlist with nearly 3,000 songs on it, but the Google Music app displays only 1,000. Why? RocketPlayer displays the entire list. Is this a known Google Play Music limitation? Because if so, buh-bye Google Play Music. Thanks in advance.
