Contacts are in gmail but why it don't shows name when I receive a call?

I have purchased new phone Nexus 6P, I was using iphone 4S in which I have taken all my contacts backup in my gmail account. I started this new phone with my gmail account. When I receive any call it don't show the name of the person which is saved in the number. The phone book displays all contacts but how can I import all that contacts from gmail to my device? Please help

I have a similar issue when some of my contacts names do not show up, only the phone number.
There is nothing I can figure out why some show up fine and others don't.
