I used to use a flashlight notification type app, but none of the apps that I have tried on the 6P with android 6.01 work. The closest that I was able to get to achieving this was the lightflow app, however that will only flash when the screen is off. The problem is that incoming calls light up the screen. Has anyone been able to find an app that works with Marshmallow?

This works for me.

Is it just me? I don't quite understand what you are looking for. You mean an app that flashes the LED camera flash?

no not just you, I didn't reply cause I want too sure what OP was asking. I have lightflow and a flashlight app, both work the way they're supposed to.

Sorry, I should clarify. I am looking for an app that flashes the camera flash for incoming calls. This was built in on my Samsung Note 4 (an option under accessibility settings). Before the Note 4, I had used a third party app on Motorola android phones. None of the apps that I have tried will get the flash to light up on the 6p.

I was able to get the lightflow app to flash the camera LED, however the app either has "no control" or "control when screen is off" options for the camera flash LED. Since the screen is on with incoming calls, the flash won't blink until you silence the phone and the screen turns off, thus it really isn't useful for getting your attention.

The app suggested by renegad3 was exactly what I was looking for, thanks! This app has the ability to change the "module driver" as the default standard setting didn't work, but switching to an alternative works.

I'm glad you found the right app, that's cool. Can I ask you a totally serious question? My dad has an iPhone and I could swear he once turned this feature on with his phone. It was so bright and noticeable when it went off in a room. It seems like it would be distracting to other people. He didn't use it very long and I have never used it so I can't say for sure that it actually had that effect. Do you find that you get a negative response to it from other people in public?

Again, seriously asking this with no judgement.

There are pros and cons, and overall it is worth it to me. When used with a clear or opaque case, even with the phone face up, the case will refract the light and get your attention (looks neat). I find that I turn it on and off depending on my need. For example, it can be quite blinding while driving at night!
