Is anyone else having issues with getting a command prompt in recovery mode. I would like to clear the cache partition but can't get past the command mode icon when I go in to recovery mode. Same issue with my nexus 2013 tablet.

    Thanks

I've always found Nexus device Recovery mode to be quite finicky to get into - once you're at the "No Command" prompt, press the Volume Up rocker and then quickly press-and-release the Power button. That seems to work reliably for me, and from there you'll get the standard Recovery menu where you can wipe cache partition (that being the system cache). HTH.

I think I found an article which said to tap the volume up button 3 times which seemed to work.
