gmail notifications

so this is probably the wrong place to post this, but not sure if you guys can help me.

whenever i get a gmail notification on my nexus 6p or moto 360, the preview shows the oldest email in the thread and then i have to click on it and scroll a ton to get to the new one.

does anyone know how to make the newest email appear as the preview? it would seem to me that it should do this by default.

I don't think you can reverse the order of the notification, I think the only thing you can do is to get notification for every message.

wow that is totally annoying if that is the case. it would seem intuitive to preview the newest message. i don't really care about the oldest message in the "conversation" which could be days old.
