Hi I own a Nexus 6P and I been reading about how some manufacturers are putting out bad accesseries for the Nexus 6P potentially damaging computers and devices. I am seeking a new Wall plug that is the same power as what I got with my Google 6P, a car charger that plugs into my car but has a changeable usb port on it if say the wire goes bad I don't have to replace the whole car unit. Lastly I am trying to find a proper USB cord that is the right one that came with the Nexus 6P so that I get the same charge speeds as if I got it. I did some Googling and found these. Now I know not all are what I totally want but I wanted to make sure I get what I am asking about. I have looked at these forums but I don't want to be confused if its the right stuff.

USB type C cord: I picked this being I assume braided helps last longer from what I thought cord wise?

Car charger looks to have a USB 3.0 end but will it work with this cord above and charge as fast as the wall?

Nexus 6 P wall charger be cool if one came with a type C USB like the one that came with the unit. I just want the same charging as the one I got.
Amazon.com: USB C Charger, CHOE 5V/3A 15W Type-C Wall Charger for HTC 10, Lumia 950xl/950, Nexus 5x/6p, Macbook and Other Type-C 5V Supported Devices: Cell Phones & Accessories

Thank you for reading and if anyone has any ideas or cheaper ones that won't hurt anything I am for it. I also love Monoprice.com if that site helps.

    First, welcome.

Second, head to the Nexus 6p accessories sub-forum -> Nexus 6P Accessories - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com There are three threads on just these topics..

    http://forums.androidcentral.com/nex...-charging.html
    http://forums.androidcentral.com/nex...-chargers.html

Just because a cable has a braided sheath does not automatically assure it's good. One that I do like that has a braided sheath is the iOrange-E and it was one of the first "blessed" by the Google engineer that's been testing. As for the car charger, USB 3.0 does not equal fast charging, read the topics linked above.

The charger can't damage a computer. As for the phone, if it puts out 5 Volts (the current is irrelevant), it won't damage the phone.

ANY charger will work, but if you want fast charge, use a quick charger certified for the N6. (Qualcomm, Samsung, Motorola etc. quick chargers won't work the same. They won't damage the phone, it'll take longer to charge it.)

Cords are passive devices - any quality Type C cord will work.

It should - the only way to tell is to try it. (You can return it if it's not as advertised.)

Same thing - return it if it doesn't. Remember, this is kind of non-standard technology, so you don't have many choices yet (and may never have if Google or Huawei - or whoever makes the next one - decides to pay Qualcom).

From what I can tell, the Maxboost car charger will not quick charge the 6P. From the specs, it appears that it is 5V/2A and, in order to quick charge, it should be 5V/3A. I personally bought the Transmort without the built in cable, back at the beginning of the year and have been very happy with it. Transmort also has a car charger with a built in USB C cable that meets the USB C standard (Benson Leung approved).
