Ordered mine at launch and 8 months later she's still running strong. IMO it still holds the throne, as phones have sometimes even regressed(specifically dual front speakers). I'm used to it but the volume button placement is still an issue, and active display is inconsistent at best. Other than that I love it and imagine I will for a solid 18-24 months longer barring some unforeseen technological advance. My days of annual updates and carrier phones are long gone. At $499 and often times even lower, the 6p is still the best phone out there (and not just for the money). Looking forward to Android N, and as usual, seeing this year's Nexus device(s).

Exactly! This phone is so good. Within a year I went from Nexus 5 < Blackberry Classic < ZenFone 2 < Z3 Compact < Z5 Compact < Nexus 6P. I had each of those phones for a short period and got bored or was unsatisfied with it. The moment I got 6P I just loved every aspect of the phone. The built quality, the display, the camera, the performance, and the latest OS. I have never own a phone for a few months and not get tempted to trade it in. I see the S7/Edge. Meh. HTC 10. Meh. G5. Meh.
