Really how do people get so much money as they claim? A broken phone netted over $300 you hear on the news and tech sites which are BS because when I checked some sites like Gazelle my mint unlocked 64GB Nexus 6 nets me only $130. What to do. Maybe keep the Nexus 6 as a backup or give it to my father who are using the old Nexus 5.

If you are selling it to a business of course you are going to get less. They need to make money when they resell it.
Sell it on Ebay or Craigs List and you will get more.

Some cities have a designated area next to a police station for those types of transactions. You can always bring some buddies like Glock, Colt, Smith and Wesson.

My friend got around 380 or so for his (Selling for marlin..whatever) ..he included several USB C cords including OEM charger, the original packaging, manuals and such and threw in a case as well and phone was in very good condition

It was like the complete Nexus 6P starter kit haha

It is possible just don't sell it to a business...be the business! Don't be the middle man in those scamlicious trade in offers where it's the equivalent of selling a brand new game to GameStop and only getting $5.50 for it lolz

Also look into Swappa. It's pretty cool.

I've sold 6 phones on Craigslist. I've been lucky and always sold for good prices.
The people I've all sold to want to meet at the carrier's store to make sure its not stolen.
So you can pretty sure they aren't planning on jacking me if they are worried it's stolen.

You ought to give Craigslist a chance, people that are still in contracts can't get new phones without paying full prices, so they are happy to pay 300-350 for good shape phones.

I personally would say Swappa. I trust it more -- and the staff is very helpful.

I used Swappa for the first time to buy a phone last month and I was very impressed with the staff and how well they follow up. Hopefully I'll be on the seller side soon.

Swappa is a joke. I had my listing up for nearly a week and it still has not been approved and yes I did all the requirements needed. I am going to use eBay like I normally did.

I always sell on eBay never had a problem. Just make sure you undue all security before shipping. If you don't only way to activate is with your password and Google login.

I did a factory reset. Is that enough. Also the bootloader is unlocked which I can lock again should I? Just asking as I never sold a phone on eBay or anywhere else.

I've sold a ton of phones on Craigslist. If you really are worried about being attacked, you meet the person in a populated area like a mall.

It took me one day to sell my G4 on Swappa so I could buy my 6P. I listed it for $10 less than the average price. Figured it was better to take a small loss than not get anything at all.

Yes but more importantly you'll want to remove your Google account from the phone before the reset. If you haven't done so and only did a factory reset, set the phone up including your Google account and skip most everything else to get into settings. Chose Settings > Accounts > Google > then the 3 dot menu button to remove your account. Otherwise the next owner will need your account name and password.

I have sold 4 phones on Swappa and I have never had a problem. I just sold a 6P 3day ago after only being listed for 4 hours. Staff has always been very responsive.

Thanks. Can Google make it any more confusing. Really I would think a factory reset would remove my account from my device.
