Nexus 6P bent at Volume Rocker (Unlocked) Temporary phone needed

I'm not sure what happened but my Nexus 6P (Aluminum) bent at the rocker panel and now the volume buttons are not working. I didn't drop my phone and I always carry my phone in my front pocket and typically remove it when I'm sitting down.

I called Huawei and I'm going to send the phone back in to have it repaired. The problem is I won't have a phone for up to 15 days which is the issue. My prior phone (LG G3) just stopped working which is why I bought this one any ideas what I can do to have a temporary phone?

That bend is where these seem to be weak. I think it sometimes comes from removing a case.

I never had a case on it. Only thing I can think of is from my front pocket but I do not wear tight pants although going forward I'll try to keep it in a shirt pocket.

I think I found a phone my brother-in-law has iPhone 5 that I can use while it is being fixed. I still think this is really poor customer service from Huawei as going without a phone for 15 days (half a month) is really hard when that is my primary phone number.
