Nexus 6P: (7.0 Oct 5, 2016, Build NBD90X) Hotspot Fails. Reboot Fixes It.

Recently, (1) the hotspot has been dropping out at random; and (2) when the hotspot is active, sometimes other devices (Mac and Windows) are unable to connect.

When Problem (2) happens, a reboot of the Nexus 6P fixes the problem until it happens again. This was observed and tested via Mac and Windows computers. The carrier is T-Mobile.

Carriers are now blocking hotspots unless you pay for tethering. The intermittent nature is due to their detecting that you're using it - sometimes they don't and it works, sometimes they do and drop the data. (The more you see unlimited data, the more you'll see hotspots not working unless you pay.)
