How to charge properly?

I really love it, so i want to change my habits.

1) Now i need to do first charge, that for me it is 12 hours. Does the battery really need it?
2) For other ones i wait the 0%(shut off) and then i go to 100%. Could this ruin battery life?

Bottom line, draining the battery to the point of phone shut down is not advisable on a regular basis. Once in a while is fine but try to get it on charge by the time it's down to 20% at the most.
