Silly question that i haven't found the answer to. I'm using my Galaxy S7 edge on T-Mobile, and i have a Nexus 6P as a back-up. In order to get the Oreo upgrade on my Nexus 6P via OTA, do i have to insert a sim card? Thanks for any help.:p

You shouldn't have to... Just connecting it to WiFi should work. Unless the OTA comes from the carrier and said carrier restricts updates to having their SIM (I've only had experiences in the past with AT&T doing that, not T-Mo), but this being a Nexus, I don't think it does.
Has Oreo actually been pushing out to phones yet? I know my wife's 5X hasn't gotten the OTA yet.
You can force it (as I did on another 5X) by joining the beta program; this will immediately update the device to the current Oreo release.

Thanks.😉
