I have a Nokia 7.1 running Android 9.
I'm trying to find a way of setting notifications (for texts, calls, emails, etc.) to vibrate *only* when I have vibrate mode set to on (and, thus, the sound is off on my device). And when vibrate mode is set to off (and the phone is set to make sound), it would not vibrate.
I can't find a way to do this. It seems the settings in Android itself or in the apps allow me to have vibrations occur all the time or none of the time, no matter the state of "vibrate mode" on my device.
Does anyone have any idea how to accomplish this?
When I first got this phone in November 2018, it ran Android 8 for about a month or so. I don't recall this being an issue then. I *think* vibrations occurred only when the phone was in vibrate mode. I don't remember the issue happening until I was updated to Android 9. But it's possible I just didn't notice before then.
Thanks.
