My wife has a Nokia 7.1 and likes (or liked) it very much. Despite a decent case, the screen got cracked but otherwise the phone still functioned perfectly. I sent the phone to Nokia for repair (they listed cost of $85 plus tax). Nokia returned the phone saying it was unrepairable since the LDI (liquid damage indication) had changed color. The phone had never been dropped in water or heavily exposed to water. It seemed strange to me that they removed the back glass as part of screen repair. Are there any teardowns that show whether display repair is "front loaded" or does the black glass really have to be removed? On top of everything else, Nokia did a sloppy job gluing the back glass on before returning phone.
