I am very happy with my 7 Plus TA-1055.

For it's price in the UK it is a real bargain.

Why would someone want to do that? They try to create top devices in each category. The 7 plus clearly has top ratings in the middle priced segment. If you aim for the top segment try and get the Scirocco. What a d..b comment. Btw - I have a Nokia 7 plus. It is awesome, it looks spectacular, it fully suits my needs, and it is reasonably priced. Plus, I have always the actual Android Version. Long lasting battery, headphone jack, reasonably good camera - everything I expect from a great device.

I've had this phone about 3/4 months now I think and I was used to flagship phones before this (mate 10 pro/p2 pro kind of thing) and I thought after the 1st month I'd hand it over to someone for a small price just to get rid but how wrong I was. I don't use it and think what a typical mid range phone it dose everything that the m10p ect did but missing functions like AI camera but that's not exactly a bad thing. yeah it dose have some parts that make me want more but they are small things like stereo speakers but bottom facing speaker bisjt exactly poor quality. overall for what I payed for the device I'm very very happy and I'm using the latest beta p software to (have been since day 1 of the beta release). maybe they could add some sort of A.I feature as the SDM 660 is supposed to have some sort of ai components. all I ask of with this phone is the camera app to be re-worked a little because although I'm happy with what the camera is capable of I believe the camera sensors themselves are even better than what the Nokia camera app are capturing

I totally agree here.. I love my 7 plus, although I do miss the stereo speakers for night time / podcast listening, but a decent BT speaker could fix that.. However, I have to agree with you about the camera..

The camera is good, even in low light its not bad... but the only thing I find using the default camera app is that autofocus can be hit and miss.. although doing a "Tap to focus" on the screen fixes this, but without OIS, moving your hands you can get the odd camera shake... I took 25 photos today, and lost 5.. and for me, that loss ratio is quite impressive .. although I believe if you head over to XDA, you can install Googles camera apk… which, apparently, looks amazing..

The advantage of using tap to focus is that it brings up an EV slider next to the focus area, which you can adjust exposure.. as this camera does overexpose a lot, but the EV slider fixes this..

The speaker is good too, ringtones are nice and loud.. and by placing it on a table.. it uses the flat surface and gets even louder..

But it looks gorgeous too... that copper trim.. and the thinner top and bottom bezels... If you use "At a Glance" insread of a clock on your homescreen.. its identical to a Pixel 2xl from the front... but looks stunning from the back.. the gorgeous twin cameras lined in copper.. looks a bit flash ..

Its a lovely device and not mediocre by any means , I don't think ill be paying £700+ for a phone.. for quite a while now..

The Nokia camera app can be good to use I think depending on scene. I've used both hmd camera & and gcam and although I use gcam most of the time the hmd app for instance can lower the exposure for say something like a direct **** at the sun. Here is a direct shot at the sun off hmd app

Nokia was in auto, gcam was just standard HDR+ I prefer the Nokia app picture here but in most other shots gcam more superior IMO
