LDAC

Thinking of getting some Sony wireless headphones. Seen a post somewhere that android pie has the option of LDAC. Could anybody tell me if this is true and it will be in Nokia's final version. The lack of aptxhd is a bit rubbish but maybe understandable if they need to pay a license fee but from what I gather Sony gifted to LDAC to android for nothing.

Android O supports it by default, so unless Nokia is not enabling it for some reason, it should be there.

Maybe android O did support it but as far as I can see from Google searches it isn't enabled. With Bluetooth headphones becoming more and more common I think Nokia has missed a trick by not having either LDAC or AptX support. If it's not in the android P release then that's enough for me to sell my Nokia and move to another brand.

APX do now work with pie and avrcp 1.6 (tested it with my headset)


I presume Sony ldac would work fine as well

Edit: Sry, did not see it was the nokia 8 forum , it do work on the 7+, so i presume it will work on 8 when you get pie.
