Shield TV Virus??

Anyone seen this??

mini-lol.com says:
Nvidia SHIELD Android TV is infected with virus and battery has been damaged!

(Has google page in background)

I think it started after side loading an A&E APK. Bout every 15 min this pops up regardless of what's happening. I have updated to 3.1 hoping it would stop.
I am still running stock. I haven't found any info on others having this issue on these devices so.......
Should I try a antivirus or start from scratch??
Suggestions welcome.

That's a pretty common popup strategy to try to get you to install some app that is probably malicious itself. Does it only occur when you're browsing?

As you probably know, installing apks files is risky, since the sources where you can find apks aren't vetted for malware.

No dout! Gonna go ahead & factory reset. Can't watch anything much less play a game. Very irritating to say the least. Will be a lot more cautious with the apk sources. May as well go ahead & root.
