OP2 connectivity to HDTV without streaming

T-mobile limits to 5GB per month tethering. I just placed yesterday a OP2 order. My previous phone was a nexus 5 which with a Slimport Cable i just cast screen or mirroring the phone to HDTV with no need to use the limited tethering offering by Tmobile. CAN I DO THE SAME WITH OP2? What is important to me is to not use tethering while mirroring or cast screen my phone to HDTV.

I am not sure about the HDTV streaming but I do have T-Mobile unlimited plan with 5gb hotspot but somehow T-Mobile doesn't use my 5gb hotspot data when I hotspot with my op2. I used over 30gb WiFi hotspot using op2.

Yeah I've used screen cast to mirror to both a chromecast and a Miracast device. Works fine, no tethering required.
