For those of you that wish to lock/unlock your OnePlus 3 bootloader, install a custom/stock recovery or flash a stock factory image and, like me, are not fully conversant with ADB instructions, then this multi purpose tool is a simple and easy way to accomplish these tasks.

Put together by the well known developer, mauronofrio, over on the xda developers forum, this tool has become an indispensable item for me, since owning the OnePlus 3. I particularly like the Advanced Option for flashing the new modified TWRP Recovery for the Community Beta builds 3.5.2 & 3.

If you have any questions about this tool or wish to download it....

Good as these tools can be, if you're going to mess around with flashing and tampering with a device that you probably spent a decent chunk of money on, it's worth learning the basics of ADB.

When (not if, when) something goes wrong, it goes a long way if you actually know what you're doing rather than just how to click buttons in a GUI.

Nice post though, good work giving credit where it's due and such. It's a shame we don't have an unlock/root/ROM forum anymore to sticky this stuff.

My ancestors felt exactly the same way as you when they introduced the Spinning Jenny. ;)

Having been on Samsung phones for 6 years, I have found no problem just using the Odin flashing tool which is similar to the All-in-One. The choice, as they say, is yours! :)

OK, well done. That's probably the silliest analogy ever.

If you don't want any working technical knowledge of how the technology you use actually works, that's fine. You can ask someone who does when something goes wrong and hope they feel like helping ;)

I'm of the opinion that people should be warned about potential risks. 99 times out of 100 toolkits work fine. The 1 time they don't, you're screwed, because you don't know what you're doing.

It's not even difficult.

I thought the analogy to be spot on as the Spinning Jenny led to other innovations in the weaving and textile industry in England which, in turn, gave rise to the Luddites who believed that weaving should only be carried out in the old ways by skilled and trained weavers and set set about smashing the new technologies.

Isn't this what forums such as this are all about?

99 times out of 100 seems like a whole lot better odds than for those struggling with command prompt, ADB and its various commands.

The choice, as they say, is yours! :)

I see both sides of the argument. On the one hand, I spent years bashing away in desktop Linux, back when installers were a very questionable affair, and drivers for your dial-up modem were sketchy at best. LOL So I'm comfortable with the command line. (If early days of DOS and programming in BASIC on the Commodore 64 didn't do it!)

There are lots of great instructions out there on how to use ADB, and what the commands do. So when something goes wrong, and you're looking for help, you can ask specific questions, and clarify using more specifics when asked about what you did.

On the flip side, sometimes it's nice to just push the button and have it do the work for you. Personally, I have ADB installed system-wide in Windows 10, drivers installed, and did my 3.5.3 sideload by typing ADB commands in. BUT I also have the OnePlus 3 toolkit installed (with a DOS shell, not a clicky GUI like this) so I can tap a couple of keys and do backups and such without having to think about it.

Different tools for different people. Both are right. :)

What do the advanced options do? I haven't unlocked a bootloader since my Galaxy s5 so I need to get refreshed here.

Also what are the community builds?
