I hear that stable 4.1.5 is being readied for delivery. However, I'm having some problems with the Google app that require me to clear the app cache, and sometimes clear the system cache from recovery in order to get it working again. So I think I'm nearing the point of needing to do another FDR to clear the device.

If/when I do that, I'm strongly considering going with OB rather than stable this time. All I've read seems to indicate it's mostly a good experience. But it takes so long to put my phone back in its customized state that I will push that out until I just have to FDR it.

And regarding the OP5, it may be tempting, but I find the OP3 to be fully capable for my needs at this point so I will likely not consider a move in that direction until maybe the OP6 comes out in a year, if then. Maybe.

Did you ever get the Google app working properly for good? I had been dealing with that for a little while too, would clear cache, work for a bit, then stop altogether again.
It's been working for at least a couple weeks now, not sure if it was because of the latest update or not. That was definitely an annoyance though.

Anyhow, did you decide to go open beta? I think I'm sticking stable for now. There's little quarks here and there, but it still just works so well!

I'm also in the same boat about upgrading. I'm hoping the one plus 6 will be an even bigger leap, and maybe jump on that when out. The OP5 seems like a very good, solid phone, but not quite enough to spend the money on right now.

Yes, the latest OOS updates resolved my issues with the Google app and consequently I did not have to do a FDR. So I'm still on stable. I'm frequently tempted by the OB, but without having a solid backup phone, I've managed to resist the urge! So far.

If I were buying a new phone today, I might be more tempted by a 3T rather than the 5. Without OIS, the OP5 doesn't speak value to me like the OP3 did. I expect the OP3 will easily last me another year or two.
